My wife left me two weeks ago. I'm pretty sure it's over as she has moved to some undisclosed location and changed her cell number, but I probably would go back and work on it if she was willing. But at the moment I really want to go on a date with someone else, just to feel good about myself. Would that be tacky? I did not cheat once during our marriage.

ditto and ditto. My vote is to go take care of you, discreetly, and it doesn't mean ur tacky...the opposite is true. I'd just be careful not to jump into another commitment so soon - wouldn't be fair to anyone while ur recovering.

Everyone is different. If you want to go on a date and you think it'll make you feel better, do it. Like nawshus said, just be careful about jumping into a commitment to quickly.
